With more than 25 years of heavy civil construction experience, Mark has proudly led Tri-Star Construction as the company owner since 2004. Originally starting with the company as a general superintendent in 1998, Mark has led and grown Tri-Star through countless successful projects and earned the company a spot on the list of Tulsa’s 40 fastest growing companies not once but twice.

A widely respected construction expert, Mark has served as the 2013 Chairman of the Board for Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) and chaired multiple ABC committees throughout his career. He was also awarded the 2017 Allen Couch Memorial Award and was asked to serve on the 2018 SBE Mayoral Task Force.

Tri-Star’s safety director Aaron Shaffer has 9 years of safety driven background. He currently holds a CSHO (Certified Safety and Health Official) through University of Texas’ Osha Ed Center in Arlington. This CSHO includes the OSHA 500 trainer card and teaches our OSHA 30hr and OSHA 10-hr courses in house. He has also completed a CRIS (Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist) through International Risk Management Institute. While working for Tri-Star Aaron has complete ATSSA’s Traffic control supervisory course as well as the becoming a flagging instructor in order to increase Tri-Stars knowledge of traffic control. As well as teaching the OSHA, traffic control he also teaches CPR.

Position: Project Manager

Shaun brings more than eight years of heavy civil construction management experience. He currently serves as a project and business development manager, responsible for managing on-going construction projects, developing relationships with potential clients, and estimating future work. His daily tasks include estimating, cost forecasting, job planning, client relations, safety, quality, and daily operations of infrastructure projects. Shaun’s combination of field and office experience has allowed him to develop a thorough understanding of client needs and compliance standards.

Position: Estimator & Project Manager

As Estimator/Project Manager, Andrew provides cost estimating services for design-build, hard bid, and negotiated construction projects throughout Oklahoma and Texas. With over 8 years of experience, Andrew’s background includes a strong work history in construction execution, coordination, and management allowing him a strategic method to estimating, as well as continuing relationships with important subcontractors.

Andrew’s assorted project knowledge includes asphalt paving, concrete paving, bridge and highway, as well as utilities. Andrew’s objective is to bring an excellent construction experience to our clients, and employees. With a unique blend of both office and field supervision experience, Andrew provides excellent value to our projects, with his strong understanding of budget, quality, and schedule. Andrew has a strong portfolio estimating heavy civil construction projects for such clients as Oklahoma Department of Transportation, City of Tulsa, City of Broken Arrow and American Electric Power. He also provides ongoing estimating services for such respected clients as Veolia Energy and Candor Building Solutions.
